On 26 June 2019, Mr. Apirat Sugondhabhirom, Consul-General of Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City welcomed Mr. Roy Kho Ngee Seng during a courtesy call upon his assumption of duty as the new Consul-General of Singapore to Ho Chi Minih City. Both sides discussed and compared notes on the ways to strengthen their respective bilatetal relations with Vietnam, in particular, with cities and provinces in the consular areas, including cooperation in trade and investment, activities of Thailand Business Association (TBA) and Singapore Business Group (SBG), consular works and promotion of people-to-people relations, as well as potential and opportunities in Vietnam and preparations for Vietnam's Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2020 after Thailand.
