1. Requirement
This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to stay with Thai family member that work or study in Thailand.
2. Document Required
2.1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document with validity of not less than six months
2.2. Photograph taken within the last six months
2.3. Document indicating current location
2.4. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 40,000 THB or having the current balance of 400,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
2.5. Personal details of a family in Thailand, e.g. ID card, Passport and the visa page or stay permit in Thailand
2.6. Proof of relationship to a family in Thailand, e.g. A copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption
3. Period of Stay
Holder of this type of visa is entitled to stay in Thailand for a maximum period of 90 days. He or she may apply for an extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau located at Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel. 0-2141-9889 or at website www.immigration.go.th and may be granted such extension for a period of one year from the date of first entry into Thailand.
4. Validity of Visa: 3 months
5. Visa Fee
- Single entry: 80 USD
- Payment method: Payment must be made using debit or credit cards ONLY.
- The visa fee is non-refundable.
6. Processing Time: 5 working days
- If your visa application is incomplete, the processing time will reset on the day you submit the additional documents.
- If you submit your visa application on a Saturday or Sunday, the first day of processing will be the following Monday.
- The processing time can take longer for certain cases.

- An alien who receives a Non-Immigrant visa can work in Thailand once he or she is being granted a work permit. An alien in violation of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979) concerning taking up employment without work permit or the Royal Decree B.E.2522 (1979) concerning holding employment in certain restricted occupations and professions shall be prosecuted and imprisoned or fined, or shall face both penalties.

1. Requirement
This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50 years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 1 year without the intention of working.
2. Document Required
2.1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document with validity of not less than 18 months
2.2. Photograph taken within the last six months
2.3. Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted
2.4. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB or having the current balance of 800,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
2.5. A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (certificate shall be valid for not more than three months)
2.6. Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded from https://longstay.tgia.org
2.7. Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer for general illnesses, including COVID-19, with the insured sum of no less than 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB
2.8. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted (The certificate shall be valid for not more than three months and should be in English, notarized by notary organs or the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission)
3. Period of Stay
- Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry.
- At the end of the 90-day stay, the foreigner must report to the immigration officer in his or her residence area and report again every 90 days during his or her stay in Thailand. The foreigner may report to the police station if there is no immigration office in his or her residence area.
- Foreigner may report to the competent authority by post and should provide the following:
(1) A report form (Tor Mor 47)
(2) A copy of passport pages showing the foreigner’s photo, personal details, and the latest arrival visa stamp
(3) A copy of the previous receipt of acknowledgement
(4) A self-addressed envelope with postage affixed
Such documents must be sent to the Immigration Division 1, 120 Moo 3, Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210 and must be submitted 7 days before the end of every 90-day period. A receipt of acknowledgement will be given and should be used for future correspondence.
- Foreigner who wishes to extend his or her stay shall submit a request for extension of stay at the Office of the Immigration Bureau located at Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel. 0-2141-9889 or at website www.immigration.go.th with documented evidence of (1) money transfer or a deposit account in Thailand or an income certificate showing an amount of not less than 800,000 THB or an income certificate plus a deposit account showing a total amount of not less than 800,000 THB, and (2) Medical insurance with coverage for covid-19 disease with the total sum insured of 3,000,000 THB (100,000 USD). A one-year extension of stay shall be granted at the discretion of the immigration officer to the foreigner as long as he or she meets the above requirements.

2.4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 30,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter
2.5. Documents from the agency, enterprise, foundation or association:
2.5.1. Voluntary work with government agency/state enterprise: Letter confirming voluntary work by government agency or state enterprise
2.5.2. Voluntary work with foundation or association registered in Thailand:
(1) Letter confirming voluntary work by registered foundation or association
(2) Proof of registration of the foundation or association together with a copy of ID card of the signer
2.5.3. Voluntary work with foreign foundation or association with permission to operate in Thailand:
(1) Letter confirming voluntary work by foreign foundation or association with permission to operate in Thailand
(2) Proof of permission for foreign foundation or association to operate in Thailand together with copy of passport and work permit of the signer
