Tourist Visa | Thị thực Du Lịch

It is no longer required for in-person submission of application. Applicants can now apply for an e-Visa online through the new e-Visa platform at  https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

1. Requirement

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for tourism purposes. Employment is prohibited.

2. Document Required

2.1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document with validity not less than six months

2.2. Photograph taken within the last six months

2.3. Document indicating current location

2.4. Travel booking confirmation

2.5. Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand

3. Period of Stay

- Nationals of 93 countries and territories (Click) are entitled to visa exemption for the purpose of tourism for up to 60 days and can be extended for another period not exceeding 30 days.

- Those who wish to stay longer or change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located at Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel. 0-2141-9889 or at website www.immigration.go.th. The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

4. Validity of Visa

- Single entry: 3 months

- Multiple entries: 6 months

5. Visa Fee

- Single entry: 40 USD

- Multiple entries: 200 USD

- Payment method: Payment must be made using debit or credit cards ONLY.

- The visa fee is non-refundable. 

6. Processing Time: 5 working days

- If your visa application is incomplete, the processing time will reset on the day you submit the additional documents.

- If you submit your visa application on a Saturday or Sunday, the first day of processing will be the following Monday.

- The processing time can take longer for certain cases.
