The Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with the leadership of Charm Group.
On December 19, 2025, Ms. Veeraka Mutitaporn, Consul-General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Chakrit Ruangkhajorn, Deputy Consul-General, along with Thai officials including Ms. Usasri Khiewrayap, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Chakrit Piyasirikul, Head of the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office, as well as Mr. Tarabadee Suengadichaiwit and Ms. Surirat Phanduang, executives of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham), welcomed and held discussions with Ms. Lieu Thi Phuong, Chief Executive Officer of Charm Group, and her team of executives to exchange views on the potential and opportunities for future cooperation between Thai businesses and Charm Group.
During the discussions, representatives from Charm Group provided preliminary information about the company, which was established in 2020 and operates in five main areas: real estate, gold and gemstones, industry, commerce and services, and agriculture and food. In the real estate sector, Charm Group is distinguished by the development of two major projects: Charm City (a premium residential project offering a new lifestyle concept) and Charm Resort (a high-quality tourism and leisure real estate development project) in Vung Tau District, Ho Chi Minh City.
In this regard, the company representatives expressed their desire to cooperate with Thai companies operating and investing in Vietnam, particularly in the Charm City Vung Tau project (Vung Tau District, Ho Chi Minh City), with plans to lease commercial space. They are ready to discuss the details with Thai private sector representatives to determine appropriate and mutually beneficial cooperation approaches for both parties.
On the same occasion, both sides exchanged views on the situation and trends in Vietnam's real estate market in recent years, noting that (1) the Vietnamese government continues to support the development of the real estate sector through accelerated investment and infrastructure construction, especially in the tourism and service sectors; (2) Vietnam aims to promote the attraction of foreign investment, especially from countries in Southeast Asia and Europe; and (3) it is expected that by 2026, the Vietnamese real estate market will experience even stronger growth.
On this occasion, the Consul General provided information on Thai companies operating and planning to expand their investments in Vietnam, particularly in the retail sector, such as MM Mega Market Vietnam and Central Retail Vietnam. In the real estate sector, Charm Group stands out with two flagship projects: Charm City (a high-end residential project oriented towards a new lifestyle) and Charm Resort (a high-quality tourism and resort real estate project) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
On this occasion, representatives of the group expressed their desire to cooperate with Thai businesses operating and investing in Vietnam, especially in the Charm City Vung Tau project, with plans to lease commercial areas (business premises). Charm Group is ready to discuss details with Thai businesses to determine a suitable cooperation method that brings mutual benefits to both sides.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the situation and development trends of the Vietnamese real estate market in recent times and agreed that: (1) The Vietnamese Government continues to support the development of the real estate sector through promoting investment and infrastructure construction, especially in the tourism and service sectors; (2) Vietnam focuses on attracting foreign investment, especially from Southeast Asian and European countries; and (3) forecasts that by 2026, the Vietnamese real estate market will grow more strongly.
On this occasion, the Thai Consul General also provided information about Thai businesses currently operating and planning to expand their investments in Vietnam, particularly in the retail sector, such as MM Mega Market Vietnam and Central Retail Vietnam. Team Thailand and ThaiCham agencies can play a connecting role, building a network of cooperation between the Thai business community in Vietnam and Charm Group in the future.
